"Qualify better." Miguel Oliveira confident for Jerez

“Jerez is always a special place to race. Despite all the good memories I have [of that circuit], I want to create new ones this year and continue with the good progress we made in Austin in the previous race", said the rider from Almada, quoted by the press office of Trackhouse, the team he races for this year.
Therefore, Miguel Oliveira expressed his desire to have "a good weekend" in Jerez, after the 11th place achieved in the Americas GP, the third round of the championship.
In 2023, the Portuguese rider was fifth in the sprint race of the Spanish Grand Prix.
Wilco Zeelenberg, Trackhouse's sporting director, stressed that Oliveira "learned a lot in Austin and gained more sensitivity and control with the bike".
"We still need to qualify better, in order to have a better performance in the races. Starting closer to the front will help us get more points. The speed is there, which is very important, but, to be able to transform that into results, we have to qualify better", he stressed.
Miguel Oliveira arrives at this race in 14th place in the MotoGP World Championship, with 13 points. The leader is Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati), with 80.
