There is more car production in Portugal. Record in sight?
Up to April a total of 126,306 light vehicles left the assembly lines.

In April of this year alone, 30,724 motor vehicles were produced in Portugal, representing an 11.8% growth compared to the same month in 2023.
Adding this number to the first three months of 2024, a total of 126,306 vehicles left the factories installed in Portugal, that is, 6.4% more than in the same period of the previous year.
With almost all cars being exported to other countries (98.2%), it should be noted that the number of exported vehicles increased in the first four months of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year. This value is higher than the variation verified, in the same period, of automobile production (6.4%).
Europe (81%) continues to be the most significant market for exports of vehicles manufactured here, with Germany (24.8%), Italy (12.9%), the United Kingdom (9.9%), Spain (9.3%) and France (9.0%) at the top of the ranking.
