W12 gives way to a hybrid V8. This is Bentley's most powerful engine

Bentley has bid farewell to the W12 and hello to a V8 hybrid, which becomes the most powerful engine in the brand's history.
Christened the Ultra Performance Hybrid, the new powertrain is based on the existing hybrid setup but takes performance and efficiency to new levels. It boasts over 750PS and an electric-only range of 80km – representing a jump of at least 91PS over the W12 previously offered in the Flying Spur and GT W12 Speed.
No torque figure has been revealed for the new powertrain, but it will have a “four-digit figure in a higher state of tune” than the Bentley Bentayga, according to the British car maker.
The Ultra Performance Hybrid will also produce CO2 emissions of less than 50g/km on the WLTP test cycle.
