The successor to the Huracán, whose name is not yet known, will join Lamborghini's list of hybrids. And the brand has already revealed the new engine that will power it. It is a twin-turbo V8 block, which will work in conjunction with three electric motors and the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox used in the Revuelto.
The V8 block was designed from scratch in Sant'Agata Bolognese and has two turbos, a displacement of 4.0 liters and a specific power of 200 hp/liter. The maximum power available will be 800 hp, between 9000 and 9750 rpm, reaching a maximum operating speed of 10,000 rpm: a value normally reserved for competition engines. As for the maximum torque, it is 730 Nm
The rear electrical system, designed and developed for the new V8, is mounted between the combustion engine and the gearbox, and includes the inverter and the axial electric unit. The electrical part of this hybrid system offers the new Lamborghini 150 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
According to Lamborghini, the sound of this engine has also been improved and we will not have to wait long to hear its roar, since the successor to the Huracán, according to the Italian brand, will be presented later this year.
