Xiaomi wanted to speed up its production process for its first electric vehicle, the SU7. To do this, the Chinese manufacturer revealed that it has made an agreement with CATL and BYD, two of the main battery suppliers in the sector, to equip its batteries in the most basic version of the SU7.
In this way, Xiaomi will be able to accelerate the production and respective deliveries of vehicles to customers who have already reserved the SU7.
Both batteries have an autonomy of around 700 km, in the CLTC (China) cycle, supporting fast charging. They can charge 350 km in just 15 minutes.
According to Xiaomi, the choice of one battery or another will not affect the performance or autonomy of any SU7.
Apparently, the Chinese technology company should be able to increase its number of deliveries to more than 10,000 units per month.
