Lancia has unveiled the new Ypsilon HF and announced its return to rallying. On Monday, the Italian brand showed off the first "high-performance" car of the brand's new era, which is scheduled to hit the market in May next year.

Powered by a 240 hp 100% electric motor, the Ypsilon HF boasts acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. With a lowered stance, a widened body with an aggressive and muscular shape, the paintwork is reminiscent of the Delta clad in Martini Racing colors.

Regarding the HF versions, it is important to note that after the Ypsilon, the Gamma and Delta will also have an HF version.

The announcement of the return to rallying was also made with the Ypsilon Rally4 HF, but this is no longer an electric vehicle.

It is powered by a 1.2-liter turbo engine, with three cylinders and four valves per cylinder, with 212 hp of power. Equipped with front-wheel drive and a five-speed mechanical transmission and mechanical self-locking differential, the model represents an ideal solution for the pleasure of all rally enthusiasts, but also a serious competitor for drivers aspiring to victories in the Rally4 category and in two-wheel drive championships.

In addition to all this, Lancia has also brought back historic logos. The first is the HF, the historic signature of high-performance Lancia models, first introduced in 1960. Upon its return to rallying, Lancia will mark the return of the 'Lancia Corse HF' logo, an iconic signature on racing cars.
