After 119 years, the Geneva Motor Show will close its doors. In a publication made on social media, the organization confirmed that the event will no longer be held and explained that the reasons are related to "many uncertainties linked to the industry.
"This decision comes after the recognition that the market conditions in Europe are not conducive to the success of future editions", adds the organization.
In addition, other factors such as the preference for shows like those in Paris and Munich, and the option of brands to make presentations in another format also weighed in the decision.
Suspended during the pandemic, the Geneva Motor Show had returned this year, having been held between February 26 and March 3. A few months ago it was not known, but this would be the last Geneva Motor Show. The first, it is recalled, was held in 1905.
