"One of the new features of the Vagos Municipal Festivities will be the return of the gastronomic stalls that will be set up in the parking lot of Avenida Dr. Lúcio Vidal, organized by the Parish Council of Vagos and Santo António", revealed the Vagos Municipal Council.

The Vagos Festivities will take place from May 17 to 21, in honor of Our Lady of Vagos and the Divine Holy Spirit.

According to this municipality in the district of Aveiro, the festival starts on May 17 with the Portuguese artist FF, who will be on stage at Quinta do Ega, with the Filarmónica Vaguense, proposing a combination of pop and classical music.

The first night ends with a performance by DJ Maskarilha and the DJ from Vagos, DJ Martinez.

The second day of the festivities will begin with the sounds of traditional Portuguese music, echoed through the streets of the town by the Côdeas do Diabo.

The program for this day also includes the premiere of the play "As Hospedeiras", by the Grupo de Teatro Fantástico da Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vagos, in the auditorium of the Centro de Educação e Recreio de Vagos.

On stage at Quinta do Ega will be the Moonshiners from Aveiro, DJ Kura and, later, DJ Joni from Vagos.

On May 19, the sacred and the profane mix, with the procession of the Divine Holy Spirit, through the streets of the town of Vagos during the afternoon, accompanied by the Banda Vaguense.

The night belongs to Pedro Abrunhosa, Insert Coin and DJ Nadja.

On May 20, the Municipal Day is celebrated, which is also dedicated to Santa Maria de Vagos, with a field mass being held at the Sanctuary.

"Another highlight of this moment of religious fervor, the Blessing of the Bodo, is reserved for mid-afternoon", informed the Municipal Council.

Also this afternoon, diplomas of municipal merit will be awarded to students from the municipality, who attend the Agrupamento de Escolas de Vagos, the Colégio Nossa Senhora da Apresentação de Calvão and the Escola Profissional de Agricultura e Desenvolvimento Rural de Vagos.

In the evening, starting at 9:00 pm, the Candlelight Procession will take place, which will leave the Sanctuary and go to the center of the Town of Vagos, where the Serenade to Our Lady of Vagos will be held.

The last day of the festivities includes the traditional sardine festival, accompanied musically by the duo Paulo Matos and Diana Matos.
