In statements to Lusa, the Maia City Council's Culture Councillor, who organizes the event together with the publishing cooperative A Seita, stressed that the programme for what will be the second edition of Maia BD is "very intense, quite diverse and designed for various Comic Book (CB) audiences".
According to Councillor Mário Nuno Neves, the 2024 edition of Maia BD - International Comic Book Festival, to be held at the Maia Forum, in the district of Porto, will have "three different exhibitions, 11 book launches, 21 invited Portuguese authors, five Lusophone authors, five international authors, several autograph sessions, film and short film screenings and also several 'workshops'".
