From 'Grito' to 'Calma'. iolanda debuts video recorded at Eurovision
This new theme, which "marks the beginning of a new era", will be presented live for the first time at the two sold-out shows at the Capitol, which will take place on May 22nd and 23rd.

Before making her debut under her own name at the Capitólio, in Lisbon, iolanda presented, this Tuesday, the first single from her new EP, ‘Calma’, which provides a glimpse behind the scenes of the Eurovision Song Contest, which took place in Malmö, Sweden.
The singer, who came in 10th place with 'Grito', recorded the video over the 17 days in which she participated in the 68th edition of the event, with the participation of the winner, the Swiss Nemo, as well as the English Olly Alexander, the Greek artist Marina Satti, the Finnish duo Windows95man and Henry, the Slovak Raiven, Bambie Thug, from Ireland, the artist from Malta, Sarah Bonnici, and also Ladinava, from Armenia.
This new song, which “marks the beginning of a new era”, will be performed live for the first time in the two sold-out shows at the Capitólio, which will take place on 22 and 23 May, according to a statement sent to the newsrooms.
“Iolanda's new single is about a girl with a dream. Of making music, of being a singer and of spreading a message of love for what she wants to achieve. It speaks of the desire to fight to get where she wants to be, even with all the adversity and all the 'noes'”, the note pointed out.
At the end of the video, the artist recalled that she had “always” dreamed of singing, so the song addresses the entire path taken “to build that dream”.
“Eurovision was the combination of years of hard work. I am very grateful and I want to thank you all for the love and support. […] My love for music will always overcome everything. Stay together, for peace”, she wrote.
Iolanda will also perform for the first time in her own name at the Casa da Música, in Porto, on 1 October.
