The dance floor used in the movie 'Saturday Night Fever' is going to be auctioned and its value is estimated at around 300 thousand dollars, about 277 thousand euros. The dance floor was used in the 1977 movie starring John Travolta, where the actor danced to the sound of the Bee Gees. The sale of the colorful dance floor is being handled by Julien's Auction and Turner Classic Movies (TCM), which are organizing the sale of some artifacts that appeared on the big screen. "This summer, our teams have assembled an extraordinary collection of over 1,300 of the most celebrated and recognizable artifacts from popular culture, exemplifying Julien's and TCM's leadership in the Hollywood memorabilia marketplace", explained Julien's Auction director, David Goodman. But the dance floor is not the only object that is stored and ready to be auctioned, since a chest used in a movie from the 'Indiana Jones' saga from 1981 will also be sold - its value is estimated to be between 50 thousand and 70 thousand dollars, or between 46 thousand and 65 thousand euros. Some costumes used in the series 'The Big Lebowski' will also be sold, according to the international press. Here, part of the value will revert in favor of charities. "From 'Saturday Night Fever' to 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' and beyond, this year's Hollywood Legends auction is truly the stuff of legend", explained David Goodman. The auction in question will take place online from Los Angeles, in the American state of California, from June 12th to 15th.
