Ex-Benfica is the choice of Liverpool owners to be their 'eyes on the world'
Pedro Marques should join the structure of the Fenway Sports Group.

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are reportedly closing in on a deal to hire Pedro Marques, the man who left his role as Benfica’s academy technical director at the end of February.
The news was reported on Tuesday by British outlet The Athletic, who state that the intention of Liverpool’s ownership group is to have the Portuguese oversee and recruit the world’s top young talent, using the expertise he has gained over the years.
Marques spent six years at Sporting as a coach, analyst and scout, before making the move to the City Football Group, which owns clubs such as Manchester City and Girona, in 2010 to work in their recruitment department.
In 2018, he returned to Portugal to take up a role in the youth system of the Encarnados. In February, the Lisbon club announced that he would be leaving “to take on an international project”, which now appears set to be with FSG.
