FC Porto's reaction to the request to suspend the Academy's works

The blue and white club guarantees that it is "committed to complying with the measures for the protection of archaeological heritage" in Maia, promising that the infrastructure will comply with "all the requirements of all the external entities necessary for its approval."
"Within the scope of the PATA, in due time FC Porto will report on the excellence of the team of archaeologists chosen to carry out this work", end the blue and whites.

"Following a news article published this Friday about the construction of the future FC Porto Academy in Maia, FC Porto clarifies:
1. FC Porto and ABB started the deforestation work, without any earthmoving, as can be seen in the Municipal Police report.
2. Deforestation is an essential condition for, within the scope of the Request for Authorization for Archaeological Works (PATA), to proceed with the archaeological works and to comply with all the recommendations of the Maia City Council and the Coordination and Regional Development Commission of the North.
3. FC Porto and the authors of the FC Porto Academy project are committed to complying with all measures to protect archaeological heritage.
4. They therefore seek to safeguard, from the outset, all the conditions so that the architectural project of the FC Porto Academy meets all the requirements of all the external entities necessary for its approval.
5. Within the scope of the PATA, in due time FC Porto will report on the excellence of the team of archaeologists chosen to carry out this work."
