After just four matches, Tobias Figueiredo won his first title with Criciúma on Saturday night. More specifically, the Campeonato Catarinense championship.
After scoring the goal that paved the way for the triumph over Brusque, last weekend, in the first leg of the final, by 1-2, the Portuguese U-21 international was once again the starting bet, in the home draw to one ball, which was enough for the club to lift this trophy for the 12th time in its history.
Higor Meritão broke the deadlock at the Heriberto Hulse stadium in the third minute of the game, with the visitors' response (who ended up reduced to ten units, due to Alex Ruan's expulsion) coming right after the break, due to an unfortunate event by Gustavo.
Criciúma now turns its attention to the Brasileirão, a competition in which it will enter action next Saturday, starting at 10:30 pm (mainland Portugal time), with the reception to Juventude.
