Paulo Teixeira, former vice-president of FC Porto, protested this Monday against what he considers to have been a "duality of criteria", in view of what happened in the games of the 28th round of the I Liga involving the so-called three 'big ones'.

The former leader of the Dragons assumes that, as "Sérgio Conceição said", "there was courage to expel Pepe", in the defeat against Vitória SC, by 1-2. However, he regrets that the same did not happen last Saturday, in the move between Ángel Di María and Pedro Gonçalves, in Sporting's triumph over Benfica, by 2-1.

"In view of what he may have done, he was well expelled. The coach himself says so. What is certain is that there is a duality of criteria, even on the same day, with much more serious situations of physical violence. Pepe was expelled for visual violence", he began by stating.

"Now, physical violence... I only heard one commentator say that Di María did not want to punch. Di María actually punched the Sporting player, and was not penalized, not even with a yellow card. It is very sad when this happens", he continued.

"I am still incredulous about sports justice, in view of what Di María did to the Sporting player, which almost led me to criminal law. Now, punching a person, in view of what happened in Saturday night's game, in Alvalade, may not be punished", he added.
