Dani Alves seeks acquittal and wants to return to playing football
Brazilian international sentenced to four years and six months in prison for rape

Dani Alves awaits on parole the verdict on the appeal filed against the four-and-a-half-year prison sentence he was given for a sexual assault offense on a young woman in December 2022, in the bathroom of a nightclub in Barcelona.
Before all this, the Brazilian international played in Mexico, for Pumas, a club that ended up terminating his contract. However, according to the Monday edition of the Spanish newspaper El País, he himself is convinced that his career in the world of football is not over yet.
The 40-year-old player believes that, sooner or later, he will be fully acquitted of this case and will have a clean image, so after that, he will have to wait for the first proposals to start appearing.
The right-back, it is recalled, trained at Bahia, having arrived in Europe through the 'door' of Sevilla, in 2002. From then on, he had spells at some of the main clubs on the continent, such as Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.
