According to the newspaper Al Riyadiah, Mohammed Al Hoaish described the Portuguese international's behaviour as "shameful", adding that he used "excessive force" in the moment that led to his expulsion, so a two-match suspension (instead of one) and a fine are on the table.
CR7 did not escape a straight red card in the 86th minute when he hit Al Bulayhi with an elbow while trying to push the opponent away to quickly take a throw-in, which ended up causing a huge mess on the pitch.
