Messi 'shows his class', Alba sent off as Inter Miami crash out
Defeat against Monterrey motivated the 'goodbye' to the Champions Cup.

Inter Miami suffered, in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, the first 'setback' of the season, when they were eliminated from the Champions Cup (the CONCACAF Champions League), as a result of the defeat suffered in the visit to Monterrey, by 3-1, which followed the other registered at 'home', by 1-2.
The Mexicans gave no chances, and signed a 'gala' performance, which was crowned with goals from Brandon Vázquez, Germán Berterame and Jesús Gallardo, at 31, 58 and 64 minutes, respectively. At 78, everything got even worse for the North Americans, with the expulsion of Jordi Alba.
Lionel Messi was a starting bet, after leaving behind the physical problems that 'tormented' him in recent weeks, and still 'gave a touch of his grace', assisting for Diego Gómez's goal, at 85 minutes, which, however, had no practical consequences.
Monterrey thus joins Columbus Crew, América and Pachuca in the next phase. Inter Miami, on the other hand, is away, not only from this competition, but also from the renewed Club World Cup, which starts in 2025.
