Pepe punished for insulting Fábio Veríssimo: "You're a f****** donkey"
The central defender will have to serve a one-match ban, just like João Mário.

The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation decided, this Thursday, that Pepe will have to serve a one-match suspension, after being sent off by Fábio Veríssimo with a straight red card during the match between FC Porto and Vitória SC.
According to the body's punishment map, the Portuguese centre-back used "offensive, insulting and or gross language or gestures" against the match referee, motivating the expulsion.
"He addressed assistant referee number two, saying: 'the ball is ours, this is a disgrace', while making the gesture of glasses. After I blew the whistle and verbally reprimanded him, he continued to make the same gesture, of glasses at me, saying: 'you are a disgrace'. After being shown the red card, he continued with the same gross gestures, saying: 'You are a f****** donkey, you are the blind ones'. while leaving the pitch", can be read in the document based on what Fábio Veríssimo wrote in the match report.
In addition to the suspension match, the Portuguese international will have to pay a fine of 2550 euros. Portuguese defender João Mário will also serve a one-match suspension after seeing the fifth yellow card in the championship and will have to pay a 153 euro fine.
