Artur Jorge in a bitter debut at Botafogo: "Suffering like this is unacceptable"
Former Sporting Braga coach failed to guide Botafogo to a triumph against Quito.

Moments after Botafogo's defeat against Quito (1-0), in the second round of group D of the Libertadores, this Friday, Artur Jorge was quick to react to his bitter debut, in a match played in Ecuador, guaranteeing that he was satisfied with his team, but frustrated with the result obtained by a goal that, in his view, "is not acceptable".
"I believe that it was in the question of criteria that we failed in the first half. We were a team with many errors. A team that suffers a goal in a lateral throw, at this level of competition, like that, is not acceptable", he began by saying, in statements to Globo Esporte.
"I admit that we left here frustrated with the result, we know that we can and will do much better in the future. We are working against time, but with the awareness that there is room for improvement. The result penalizes us, but we are in the fight", he added next.
"Despite everything, I am satisfied with what the players did, with the dedication and the commitment, but what defines the performance is the result. The players and I know that. We know that we did some wrong things that are very punishing at this level, but we have to analyze everything. It was a negative result, but it is a team that will try to do better. We have the Brasileirão and the Libertadores ahead of us", he completed.
