Official: FC Porto secures a promising player who has already debuted with the main team
Martim Fernandes has extended his contract with the dragons until June 2028.

FC Porto officially announced, on Friday afternoon, the contract renewal of the young prodigy Martim Fernandes. The right-back extended his contract until June 2028.
"I have already had many important days here at FC Porto, but this is undoubtedly the most important, a moment of change in my career and I hope to live up to the expectations that the club has for me. On a personal level, I have not changed much, I am still the same. As a player, of course I have changed, I had to change to enter bigger stages. I am still the same person and I want to continue to be so forever", said the young man, in statements to the official media of FC Porto.
Martim Fernandes also spoke about his debut in the main team of the blue and whites, which took place in the duel of the Portuguese Cup against Vilar de Perdizes.
"It always has an impact when you make your debut for the A team, especially in a club of this size. They started to see me with different eyes and my life changed completely. At that moment, I felt the support of the fans on the pitch and then also on social media. Everyone spoke well of me and I love that", he highlighted.
The 18-year-old has been fundamental in FC Porto's under-19 team in the Youth League, and has played seven games in the competition this season. Martim Fernandes has also asserted himself in the B team, for which he has played 23 games and scored one goal.
