Controversy installed. NBA assumes an unusual "mistake" in Grizzlies-Lakers
Refereeing team's lapse led to the third period of the game having 66 more seconds than it should have.

The Los Angeles Lakers went to the FedEx Forum, in the US state of Tennessee, last Saturday, to defeat the Memphis Grizzlies, by 120-123, in a "heart-stopping" game that ended "immersed" in controversy.
This is because, on Sunday, the NBA itself announced, in a statement issued through its official platforms, that the game had 66 more seconds than it should have, due to a lapse committed by the referee team, during the third period, which is causing (a lot of) talk.
"We have confirmed that the game clock was inaccurately set, in the third period of last night's Memphis Grizzlies-Los Angeles Lakers game at FedEx Forum," began by explaining the spokesperson for the body that governs US basketball, Tim Frank.
"Following a shot clock violation, the clock was set to 2:20, when it should have been set to 1:14. The error was not noticed in real time by teams, referees, game operators, or data personnel. While unfortunate, the error was not identified in time to be corrected," he concluded.
