FC Porto 'attacks' the refereeing: "Another clear penalty to be awarded"

This Sunday, FC Porto used the Dragões Diário newsletter to point the finger at the performance by the refereeing team led by Gustavo Correia, in the two-all draw conceded in the reception to Famalicão.

"Another clear penalty was not awarded in favor of FC Porto, this time for a foul on Mehdi Taremi. It was the third consecutive match day that this happened", began by writing the blue and white team, which does not excuse itself, however, from responsibilities, following yet another negative result.

"Reporting this fact does not serve to excuse our own errors that were assumed, but not denouncing it would be colluding with those who harm FC Porto. Since the beginning of 2024, the team has been severely penalized by the refereeing in the trips to Bessa, Arouca and Estoril and in the receptions to Rio Ave, Vitória and Famalicão", it adds.

Having done the math, FC Porto now has 59 points, which leaves it in the third position of the I League, tied with Sporting de Braga. The leader, Sporting (which has a game in arrears), is already 15 points ahead, and the second-place team, Benfica (which will still receive Moreirense), is eight points ahead.
