Wayne Rooney pulls out of TV show due to 'painful' reason
Ex-England international did not go to the BBC because of... injury

Wayne Rooney's much-anticipated debut as a pundit on the BBC Sport's 'Match of the Day' was set to take place this Saturday, but it will have to wait a little longer.
The former England international himself announced in a note on social media that... he suffered an injury, which is why he could not join the other panel members, Gary Lineker, Martin Keown and Micah Richards, in the analysis of the matches of the 33rd round of the Premier League.
"I'm gutted not to be making my debut on the iconic 'Match of the Day' show on BBC tonight. It's something I have wanted to do since I was little," began the former striker for clubs such as Manchester United and Everton.
"Unfortunately, I sustained a painful back injury during a holiday with my family, but I look forward to being part of the team in the near future. Good luck to Gary Lineker and the boys for tonight's show, and I'll see you all soon," he added.
