Desporto I Liga

Portimonense remains unable to escape the bottom of the table and, this Sunday, wasted a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 at home to Casa Pia, in a match counting for the 29th round of the I League.
The match started in the best possible way for the home team and opened the scoring after eight minutes with a goal from Tamble Monteiro. Shortly after, Tornich made it 2-0 for Paulo Sérgio's team (26'). Still in the first half, and with an assist from Nuno Moreira, the Japanese Yuki Soma put the geese back in the game with an accurate shot in the 34th minute. In the second half, the same ex-Sporting player assisted centre-back Zolotic for the equaliser in Portimão (59'). With this result, Portimonense remains in 16th place, which gives access to the play-off, with 27 points, one less than Estrela da Amadora. Casa Pia remains in a comfortable ninth place with 32 points. In the other match on Sunday afternoon, Arouca won without any problems at home to Boavista, 2-1, adding their third consecutive victory in the I League. After a penalty missed by Cristo in the 24th minute, top scorer Rafa Mújica had better aim and scored the first for Daniel Sousa's team in the 30th minute. Brazilian Weverson extended the home team's lead in the 39th minute. In the 42nd minute, Seba Pérez was sent off early after receiving a second yellow card (42') in less than ten minutes - he had been booked for the first time in the 34th minute. And there was still time for Cristo to waste another great penalty (45+5'). In the second half, an own goal by Robson Bambu put Boavista back in the game (47'). And shortly after, it was confirmed that today was not Cristo's day. The Spaniard put the ball in the back of João Gonçalves' net, but the goal was disallowed for handball. After the accounts were settled, Arouca is in seventh place with 43 points, the same as Moreirense who have yet to play in this round. Boavista is in 12th place with 29.
