AS Roma updates Ndicka's health status and denies heart attack
Central costa-marfinense has already been discharged from hospital.

AS Roma released, late on Monday afternoon, an official statement in which it provided an update on the health status of Evan Ndicka, a player who collapsed on the pitch with chest pains during Sunday's match against Udinese.
The club from the Italian capital assures that the centre-back from the Ivory Coast spent the night in hospital and is now in good health. The situation, which even led to the interruption of the match, was apparently caused by a blow and not by a heart attack.
"Following acute precordial pain and non-specific alterations in the electrocardiogram performed in the stadium's first aid department, the player Evan Ndicka was admitted to the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Udine. First and second level cardiological examinations were performed, which proved negative for cardiac pathology," can be read in the statement from AS Roma.
The Giallorossi also inform that Ndicka has already been discharged from hospital and that he will undergo new medical examinations when he arrives in the city of Rome.
"In light of the latest examinations carried out during the morning, the clinical picture is compatible with thoracic trauma with minimal left pneumothorax. The player has been discharged and will undergo further checks in Rome," the statement continues.
"AS Roma would like to thank Udinese Calcio, the referee Pairetto, the fans present at the Udine stadium and the medical and health personnel of the Santa Maria della Misericordia hospital in Udine for their great professionalism and availability. Together, in those minutes of turmoil and apprehension, we demonstrated the values of sport and put the protection of life first," concludes the transalpine emblem.
