Artur Jorge still without a win at Botafogo: "There's a lot of work to do"
Portuguese coach added a new defeat in service to the Rio de Janeiro club.

Artur Jorge still does not know the taste of victories at Botafogo. In his debut in this year's edition of the Brasileirão, the Portuguese coach lost 2-3 at home to Cruzeiro, adding a second defeat to his record at the helm of the Rio de Janeiro team.
After the match in Belo Horizonte, the former Sporting de Braga coach admitted that his players' physical fitness is not yet at the required level.
"We have to take the positive things we did and the players showed great availability and a desire to do things well. They gave their all in a game that, for us, had many setbacks. And when it's like that, it's always more difficult, because the context was not favourable to us. We opened the scoring, then we lost Marlon very early on and we started the second half with two very clear chances to score again. One of them even without a goalkeeper, and then, in another situation, we were one man down. These are many setbacks that this team had to fight against, and they did so until the end. That's what I'll take away, the team's dedication to fight for the result, even though it wasn't what we wanted," he said at a press conference.
"In relation to what we wanted for the game dynamics, the intensity we want to put in, we have to admit that we have a team, at this moment, with a physical limit below what we want. We are racing against time to fight against this, to be able to train well, with games every three days. We have to adapt and be able to overcome this limitation to reach what we really want. Today we had some samples of what a strong, dynamic, intense Botafogo is capable of attacking. And that's the Botafogo we are trying to work on, we need some time for that. We expect to be better in the next game, but based on victories, which is what also values our work," he continued.
"I think it's a bit difficult to compare the intensity because it's different [the football in Brazil and in Portugal]. The quality of the players is there and it's up to me, at this moment, to evaluate what Botafogo's performance is within the context of Brazilian football. But I want this team to have the ability to be a dominant team, that can create and put on a show for its fans. We have to worry about creating a Botafogo in the image of what we want," he concluded.
