In Bergamo, Scamacca's accurate shot in the 13th minute and Brazilian Ederson's in the 18th put the hosts in a good position, but they ended up giving in during the second half.

Verona managed to react to the disadvantage, through Serbian Lazovic (56) and Dutchman Noslin (60), which allowed the visiting club (16th) to add a precious point in the fight to remain in the league.

Atalanta now has 51 points, in sixth place, and missed a good chance to get closer to the fifth-placed Roma (55), which still has to finish the round's match in Udine, suspended on Sunday, in the 70th minute, after Ivory Coast international Evan Ndicka fainted and was taken off the pitch on a stretcher.

Portuguese Dani Silva started for the visiting team and played the full 90 minutes, while his compatriot Rúben Vinagre entered the pitch in the 77th minute.

Earlier, at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, in Florence, Fiorentina (10th place) and Genoa (12th) drew 1-1, with Icelander Gudmundsson (42) scoring for the visitors and Frenchman Ikone (54) for the 'viola' team.
