UEFA announced, in the form of a statement issued through official platforms, a series of sanctions imposed on Barcelona, due to the behavior of its own fans, in the victory over Paris Saint-Germain, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Catalans were fined 25,000 euros due to the "racist behavior" of the club's members, at the Parc des Princes. An episode that also led to a ban on selling tickets for the next European away game, with this punishment being "suspended" for one year.

However, the 'heavy hand' of the body that governs continental football does not stop there, given that the Blaugrana team will have to pay a fine of 2,000 euros for "setting off pyrotechnic devices", and another, of 5,000 euros, for "acts of damage".

The board led by Joan Laporta will also have to "contact PSG, within 30 days, in order to reach an agreement regarding the damage caused by its fans", to the "benches" of the stadium located in the French capital of Paris.
