Official: Nagelsmann gives 'no' to Bayern and remains in the German national team
Coach extended his link with the Germans and signed a new contract until 2026.

The German Football Association (DFB) announced this Friday the renewal of the contract with Julian Nagelsmann, putting an end to the rumors that pointed to the coach as the new Bayern Munich coach from next season.
Nagelsmann, 36, signed a new contract valid until the end of the World Cup'2026, which will take place in the United States, Canada and Mexico. In September last year, the coach had signed an agreement until the end of Euro'2024.
"This is a decision of the heart. It is a great honor to be able to coach the national team and work with the best players in the country. With successful and passionate performances, we have the chance to inspire an entire country. The two victories against France and the Netherlands in March gave us a taste of it", said Nagelsmann, quoted by the official media of the German federation.
"I was very touched by the enthusiasm of the fans. Together, we now want to play a successful European Championship at home, and that's what we're all fighting for. After that, I'm really looking forward to the challenge of the World Championship, together with my coaching team", he added.
