"He was injured in the Sporting title game and didn't tell anyone"

Pedro Porro gave an interview to Tribuna Expresso, released this Friday, in which he took the opportunity to reveal a secret from his time playing for Sporting, before heading to Tottenham halfway through last season.
The Spanish defender admitted that, in the preparation for the game that marked the Lions' return to winning the national championship, on May 11, 2021, he ended up suffering an injury three days before the duel against Boavista, but "didn't tell anyone" given the importance of the moment for the history of the Alvalade club.
"In the title game, against Boavista, I was injured. I had never told anyone, but the truth is that three days before that game I injured my hamstring muscles", he began by saying.
"I didn't tell anyone because I knew how important the game was. I wanted to play, yes or yes. I lasted 30 minutes, I felt a stronger pain, but I knew I had to give it my all. It was the same being injured or not because the title could not escape. It was a beautiful moment, we were champions", he added.
It should be recalled that, in the 2020/21 season, Pedro Porro stood out with four goals and four assists in 37 games, ending up staying in Alvalade the following season, again on loan from Manchester City, then leaving for Tottenham in the winter market of 2023.
