Manchester City booked their place in the FA Cup final on Saturday as they beat Chelsea 1-0 at Wembley, with Bernardo Silva scoring the decisive goal after he had been heavily criticised for missing a penalty against Real Madrid in their Champions League semi-final exit.

A poor first half, devoid of any real goalmouth action, was followed by a livelier second period in which the Blues were, at times, the more likely to break the deadlock. Rúben Dias had joined compatriot Silva on the pitch after the break and proved crucial in keeping a clean sheet during that spell.

After Pep Guardiola had made two changes, Mauricio Pochettino waited until the final 10 minutes to make alterations and it was in that period that Manchester City struck. In the 84th minute, Bernardo Silva was on hand to turn home from close range and send his side into the showpiece.

The Citizens will now face either Manchester United or Coventry in the final at Wembley next Saturday, with that semi-final taking place on Sunday.

Preview

Manchester City and Chelsea meet at Wembley on Saturday for a place in the FA Cup final, where Coventry and Manchester United will contest the other semi-final 24 hours later.

Pep Guardiola's side - featuring Portuguese trio Bernardo Silva, Matheus Nunes and Rúben Dias - will be looking to bounce back from their Champions League disappointment at the hands of Real Madrid, having won the competition last season.

The Blues, meanwhile, have been alternating between draws and victories and have not lost since their League Cup final defeat to Liverpool (0-1) almost two months ago.

Kick-off in the semi-final at Wembley is at 5:15pm BST on Saturday and you can follow all the action live on Desporto ao Minuto.
