Sporting added an eighth consecutive triumph in the national futsal championship, this Saturday, by smiling on the trip to the stronghold of Leões Porto Salvo (4-7), distancing itself from Sporting de Braga and Benfica on the throne of the competition.

The game did not start properly for Nuno Dias' team, since, at 15 minutes, the home team was winning by two goals, scored by Rúben Góis (10') and Bruno Pinto (15'), preceding an epic comeback by the Alvalade emblem. Diogo Santos reduced (16'), João Matos tied (16'), Diogo Santos turned around (17') and, given the own goal by Merlim (18'), Tomás Paçó made the 3-4 on the brink of halftime (19').

In the second half, Taynan (21') and Tomás Paçó (31') reassured the championship leader and, despite Rúben Carrilho having reduced (33'), the final 4-7 came from the feet of Pany Varela, five minutes from the end.

With this result, Sporting now has 56 points in the lead, with five more compared to Sporting de Braga and eleven more than Benfica, with both direct competitors still playing on this 21st round, almost at the end of the regular phase.
