After two games without a win, Santa Clara stamped, on Saturday afternoon, the return to triumphs in the II League, winning, by 1-0, in the reception to Tondela, in a game of the 30th round.
And the match could have gone worse for the men led by Vasco Matos who had a huge setback at 25 minutes. Paulo Henrique saw a direct red card and left the Azoreans with one less for over an hour.
Even so, the insular team managed to overcome the adversity and won the three points thanks to a precise shot by Vinícius Lopes at 62 minutes.
On the visitors' side there was an expulsion in the final stretch. Lucas Barros saw a direct red and went to take a bath early (90+4').
With the accounts settled, Santa Clara holds the first place with 63 points. Tondela, on the other hand, has the second consecutive defeat and is sixth with 45.
