24 in 24. Sporting's handball team continues with a clean record this season and, this Saturday, crushed their rival Benfica. In a match valid for the second round of group A of the championship of the sport, the lions won by 37-28.
In a packed João Rocha Pavilion, the lions started as clear favorites, as they came from victories in the last five derbies with their Lisbon rival, four of them already this season. On the other side was a team that was playing their last card of hope to still be able to fight for the title.
But it was quickly realized that the green and whites would not allow any slack. At half-time, the Alvalade team was winning by a clear 23-13 and the pace did not slow down during the second half.
