The only and decisive goal of the match was scored after just five minutes by the forward Vitinha, with a powerful shot, after a pass from Bruninho, who put the ball in next to the right post of the goal of the veteran goalkeeper Cássio.

António Oliveira's team even managed to put the ball in the Bragantino goal in the 63rd minute, by Pedro Henrique, but the move was disallowed after the intervention of the video referee for offside.

With this victory, Bragantino rose, provisionally, to the leadership of the Brasileirão, with seven points, followed by Grêmio, who today beat Cuiabá, 1-0, Flamengo and Internacional, all with six points, although the latter two have played one less game.

The champion Palmeiras, coached by the Portuguese Abel Ferreira, is in 12th place, with three points, due to the defeat it suffered at home, 1-0, against Internacional, on the second matchday.
