Lamens wins great battle with Tauson and conquers Oeiras Ladies Open
Dutch tennis player Suzan Lamens won her first WTA title today, after defeating Danish Clara Tauson in three 'sets', in the final of the Oeiras Ladies Open, which took place at the Jamor Tennis Complex.

Playing in her 10th tournament in Portugal, since her debut in a 15,000-dollar tournament in Porto, in 2017, Lamens, who is ranked 163rd in the women's ranking, needed three matches to get the better of the Nordic player, number 87 in the world, with the partials of 6-4, 5-7 and 6-4.
Despite having led the match by 6-4 and 5-0, after her opponent left the court to be treated for her right leg, Susan Lamens saw the fourth seed recover, save three 'match points' in the second set and lead by 4-1 in the final set.
When the duel seemed favorable to Clara Tauson, 21, the player from the Netherlands, three years older, reacted in the best way and, by making five consecutive games, managed to achieve the triumph in the final of this WTA 125 tournament after two hours and 49 minutes.
