Pinto da Costa visits the Academy grounds: "It is the most necessary work"

In the final stretch for the FC Porto elections, which will take place on Saturday, April 27th, the president Pinto da Costa visited the works of the club's next Academy, in Maia, in what has been seen as one of the incumbent's candidacy flags, despite the opposition of Villas-Boas.
The construction of the FC Porto Academy is underway and Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa was present at the start of the works of the "most necessary work at the moment", as reported by the official website of FC Porto.
On a special date, the day he celebrates 42 years at the helm of the club, the historic leader made a revelation. "I still want to make a new pavilion for amateur sports", he said.
"It is the most necessary work at the moment, because the training has been successful as we have seen recently. We have players trained at FC Porto playing in team A, 16-year-old players playing in team B and we think that, with these conditions, the fantastic work that has been done by those responsible could be much better. We will be able to accommodate 140 young people and those who are not from Porto will be magnificently installed. We want to have the work ready quickly for the good of the youth, of FC Porto and I want to thank everyone who contributed to making this a reality", he began by saying.
"We chose the location, found a partner and with everyone's goodwill we are today waking up from the dream we had for reality. This is the work that was most needed, the one that will give more strength to FC Porto and its football teams. We did not come here because today I complete 42 years as president, because it was even planned to come yesterday, if I was 50 I would be equally happy. This is not a work for me or for my board that is ending the mandate with this cherry on top", praising the club's best interests.
