Pinto da Costa confirms renewal with Sérgio: "We shook hands"
Renewal confirmed by the president of FC Porto, in statements to journalists.

Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa confirmed the renewal with Sérgio Conceição, advanced in the press this Wednesday. This is just a few hours before the elections scheduled for Saturday. Pinto da Costa should renew with the coach for another four years.
"It will be confirmed tomorrow. I don't want to talk about it today. I don't want Sérgio to meddle in the election. It is practically closed because we shook hands. It is worth more than the contract. What we signed with a handshake will be put on paper tomorrow", he told reporters at a campaign event.
Asked about any clause that allows termination, if Villas-Boas wins, Pinto da Costa was not conclusive. "I think so. All contracts can be terminated either by mutual agreement or by one of the parties. It does not cross my mind that, whoever the coach is, he will not want Sérgio Conceição."
"List B has been saying that the first thing they would do was to sit down with Sérgio to resolve the matter. It's settled. Of course, Sérgio will have a say. I hope he continues, because it is fundamental", he added.
Sérgio Conceição has been at FC Porto since 2017, having won ten national titles in the service of the club. He was considered the best coach in the League on three occasions.
