Ex-FC Porto worries Artur Jorge: "It's quite a loss..."

After two defeats, Botafogo added, in the early hours of Wednesday to Thursday, what was the first victory in the current edition of the Libertadores Cup, when they received and beat Universitario, 3-1, at the Nilton Santos Olympic Stadium.
A game in which two former FC Porto players stood out, although for radically different reasons. If, on the one hand, Carlos Eduardo scored two goals, on the other, Soares was injured, right in the tenth minute. A situation that left Artur Jorge visibly concerned.
"At this moment, what is possible to say about Tiquinho is that it is a great loss, if confirmed, and I speak like this because I await the clinical result", he said, in statements reproduced by the Brazilian portal Globoesporte.
The Portuguese coach also made a point of leaving a word to the fans: "I want to show my gratitude, but also that of the entire squad. It was the first show we had on the field. It was impossible not to have won because of the atmosphere".
"They raised our adrenaline and motivation. The fans welcomed us in a very important way. I know that the intimacy with me will depend on the results, but I will be here to do my best. The fans are a fundamental piece for Botafogo's success", he added.
