Official: Sérgio Conceição renews contract with FC Porto
New bond unites both parties until June 2028.

FC Porto announced, in the form of a statement issued through its official platforms early on Thursday afternoon, that it had reached an agreement with Sérgio Conceição with a view to renewing the contract between the two parties.
It is worth recalling that the link would end at the end of the current season. However, last Wednesday, Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa had already announced that he had everything 'agreed' with the coach to prolong it... if he were re-elected, in Sunday's suffrage, in which he will face André Villas-Boas and Nuno Lobo.
"What we signed with a handshake and will formalize tomorrow is a four-year contract. He is very important for the project I have, to return to the great European battles. What we have already signed with a handshake will be put on paper tomorrow", he promised, on the eve.
FC Porto's president also stressed that the document includes a "termination hypothesis", which could be activated at no cost to the club, if one of the opponents wins the elections and does not want to continue with the coach.
It is worth recalling that Sérgio Conceição arrived at Dragão in the summer of 2017, to succeed Nuno Espírito Santo. Since then, he has won three national championship titles, three Portuguese Cups, three Cândido Oliveira Super Cups and also a League Cup.
