Despite this scenario being complicated, and not depending directly on the Vizela team, Rubén de la Barrera only thinks about victory against Rio Ave, on Saturday, in order to keep the hope of the objective alive, which could 'fall apart' in this round, given a combination of unfavourable results for the Minhotos.

"Unfortunately, it doesn't depend on us. What depends on us is tomorrow's [Saturday's] game, our performance and what we're going to do. That's what we're focused on", began by saying the coach who guaranteed that the fight will go on until the end: "Regardless of the circumstances, we're not giving up. Each day that passes is a new challenge to grow, to evolve. It will be like this until the last day that I coach".

The coach of the Vizela team, last classified in the I League, explained that, whatever happens, he has a clear conscience about the work he has carried out in charge of the team, which he took over in December of last year, replacing his compatriot Pablo Villar.

"I give my life every day for the club and for each player. In terms of training, leadership, preparation and management of each game. That's where I have to intervene. But there are variables. When a player wins, he justifies everything he does, when he loses, the work is pointed out and the subject of comments, which is natural in this sport. The work we're doing is good, but the results aren't coming", he explained.

Rubén de la Barrera is aware of what the team can do in the last four games of the championship and assumes the responsibility of fighting for the three points in all of them.

"We're going to compete and play well. I think we're in a position to compete for all the points that remain to be played. That's what's in our hands and it's our responsibility to do so", he stressed.

Regarding the opponent in the next game, the coach is aware of the difficulties but guaranteed that Vizela has prepared in the best way to counter the adversities.

"Rio Ave has its own identity, it reinforced itself well in the last window and the results reveal the quality. We're preparing for the game in the best way, hoping that everything goes well. We know that the opponent has good ball circulation, is intelligent in the processes and has the capacity to know how to manage efforts. More than the defensive strength, it's the solidity of their game that allows them to concede few goals. They have difficulty winning regularly, but they also prevent their rivals from winning easily", he also revealed.

Vizela, in 18th and last place, with 21 points, hosts Rio Ave, in 11th, with 31, on Saturday, at 3:30 pm, in a match from the 31st round of the Portuguese I League, which will be refereed by Hélder Malheiro, from the Lisbon Football Association.
