Fulfilled a dream and showed a conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo: "I won't lose you"
Jawad El Yamiq crossed paths with CR7 in Portugal's elimination from the World Cup in Qatar, before they became rivals in Saudi Arabia.

Jawad El Yamiq gave an interview to the newspaper Al-Riyadiah, published this Saturday, to account for the growth of the Saudi Arabian championship, where he is representing Al-Wehda, ending up by praising (and very much so) the name of Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 32-year-old defender recalled the moment when he met the Madeiran forward in the 'quarter-finals' of the Qatar World Cup, in Morocco's victory against Portugal (1-0), and confessed that he fulfilled a dream by being face to face with his idol since childhood, also revealing a conversation during the game.
"By attracting the best stars in the world, the Saudi League has become truly brilliant, being one of the top 5 leagues in the world. They brightened the dream of any player with the contribution of players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Riyad Mahrez, Sadio Mané and N'Golo Kanté", he began by saying.
"Best foreigners? Cristiano Ronaldo is at the top of the list. He is a great point of light in the championship for his effort, skill. He stands out for his great will to give and win. He has been my idol since I was a child and I often dreamed of being with him, until the dream came true at the 2022 Qatar World Cup. We talked for 40 seconds", he added, before giving an account of the content of the dialogue with CR7.
"I remember that Morocco faced and eliminated Portugal in the 'quarter-finals' of the World Cup. At one point when the game stopped, I approached him and put my hand on his shoulder. I said to him 'I love you and I am one of your biggest fans. I always dreamed of seeing you live or playing against you, but now I am representing my country and I will not lose sight of you'. He replied with a slight smile and gave me to understand that he liked what I told him", completed the 32-year-old Moroccan centre-back.
It is recalled that, this season, El Yamiq has scored three goals in 22 games, having already faced Cristiano Ronaldo this season, after fulfilling a dream in December 2022.
