Barcelona close to securing first signing for 2024/25

Barcelona is on the verge of securing the signing of what will be the first reinforcement for next season. This is Guido Rodríguez, a 29-year-old Argentine international who plays for Real Betis.
According to information provided this Saturday by the Spanish newspaper Sport, the two clubs are in "very advanced" negotiations, after Xavi Hernández (who, this week, announced that he had changed his mind and will, after all, remain at the helm of the team in 2024/25) gave his approval.
The management led by Joan Laporta thus manages to find a substitute who, it is hoped, will be up to the task of replacing Sergio Busquets, who last summer moved to Inter Miami, since Oriol Romeu ended up not convincing.
Amadou Onana (from Everton), Joshua Kimmich (from Bayern Munich), Mats Wieffer (from Feyenoord) and Martín Zubimendi (from Real Sociedad) were also referenced for the position, but they were reportedly discarded due to the amounts demanded by the respective clubs.
