Miguel Brás da Cunha believes that the signing shows FC Porto to be unbeatable
Miguel Brás da Cunha, leader of list D, which is running exclusively for the FC Porto Superior Council, said today that the members' adhesion demonstrates the club's vitality and reiterated that the electoral act has been proceeding normally.

"A club that has the capacity to mobilize its members, as it is doing today, is an unbeatable club. And, therefore, that is enough for me. I am very happy, I feel like laughing, jumping, clapping. FC Porto is having a very successful journey and that is the most relevant thing of all", he congratulated.
In 2020, the independent movement that he leads obtained three of the 20 effective seats in the only non-executive body of the 'dragons', but Brás da Cunha did not assume any expectations for today.
"What I want is for FC Porto to win, and it is winning today. It started winning at 9:00 am, it was winning at noon, at 1:00 pm. That is what is relevant. What comes next are the normal results of the exercise of democracy, which we will accept with all naturalness, and we will think about it later, tonight", he said.
Questioned about a possible desire for change on the part of the members, taking into account the high turnout, he refused to draw any prior conclusions.
"It is not an answer to anything. It is just an affirmation of 'portismo'. When one exercises a fundamental right, which is the right to vote, it is not exercised against anything. Therefore, it is a right in favor of the club itself", he rejected.
The candidate of the list 'For a greater, united, unsubmissive and eclectic FC Porto' also revealed that he will follow the results from the Dragão Stadium.
"I will follow it from my home, which is the Dragão. If the Dragão gives me this possibility, I will be here all day following the process and waiting for the results. In the end, of course, I will respect whatever the result is", he said.
The elections of the social bodies of FC Porto for the four-year period 2024-2028 are disputed by three candidacies, led by Pinto da Costa (list A), André Villas-Boas (B), former coach of the football team, and Nuno Lobo (C), businessman and professor, also including an independent list for the Superior Council led by Miguel Brás da Cunha (D).
The electoral act will take place until 8:00 pm today, at the Estádio do Dragão, in Porto, at a time when Pinto da Costa is serving his 15th consecutive term, since 1982, and holds the status of leader with the most titles and longevity in world football.
