Villas-Boas has already spoken to Pinto da Costa: "He invited me to the podium"

André Villas-Boas revealed, early on Sunday afternoon, in statements made to journalists at his doorstep, that he had already spoken with Jorge Nuno Pinto da Costa, the man he dethroned from the presidency of FC Porto.
"He congratulated me, invited me to be present today in the presidential tribune [in the Classic against Sporting], but at this stage I believe it makes more sense to be close to the members, at least one last time. I thanked him for the invitation, for congratulating me, a message of strength that we are united," he said.
"I think it is a gesture of institutional elevation and also of affection that I thanked him in the same way for all the respect I have for him," he added, which means that he will watch the game in the annual place he holds at the Estádio do Dragão.
The former coach, it is recalled, won the votes of 21,489 of the 26,876 members who participated in what were the most contested elections in the history of the dragons, the equivalent of 80.28%, in what he called a "historical night".
