Desporto I Liga

Moreirense returned to winning ways in the I Liga more than a month later, this Sunday, by smiling on the trip to Portimonense's stronghold (0-2), even recovering the fifth position in the championship.

In a duel full of interventions by the video referee, the canons were the first to see their celebrations stopped, in a goal by Matheus Aiás that did not count due to offside. Shortly after, Carlinho would be the one to make the Algarveans celebrate, but he was caught by the assistant referee in an irregular position, at 29 minutes, in a move confirmed by the VAR.

Already in the second half, Alemão scored for Portimonense, at 68 minutes, but not even the third attempt at celebration would be for good, given that the VAR identified a new offside, until Maracás took care of putting Rui Borges' team (finally) in front, at 76 minutes, with a precise header.

Already in stoppage time, when Paulo Sérgio's team was trying to tie, it would be João Camacho who would sentence the doubts with the final 0-2 in Portimão.

With this result, Portimonense does not leave the third-to-last place, with 28 points, while Moreirense is now sixth, with 46, one more than Arouca.
