APOEL 'slip up', but Ricardo Sá Pinto is one draw away from the title

APOEL entered the penultimate round of the Cypriot championship with the possibility of being crowned champion, if they beat Omonia and AEK Larnaca were defeated. However, none of that happened.
The team led by Ricardo Sá Pinto 'slipped' in the trip to their rival's stronghold, with a 1-0 defeat marked by Simic's accurate goal (69'), ending the match with the idea that they had just fallen from the throne.
The truth is that AEK Larnaca, who were beating Anorthosis with a goal from the Portuguese Rafa Lopes, suffered a draw (1-1) at 90+2', through Makoun, leaving the two teams sharing the lead, with the same 72 points.
Therefore, in the APOEL-AEK Larnaca match that closes the second and last phase of the Cypriot championship, the Portuguese Ricardo Sá Pinto and Tomané will be able to celebrate in case of a victory or even a draw, while the team of Rafa Lopes, Bruno Gama and Gustavo Ledes will have to win in Nicosia to be able to be Cypriot champions.
