'Tit for tat'. Sporting beats Benfica and pushes the final to the 'tiebreaker'
Lions smiled in the three sets without reply of the eagles and the champion will be decided next weekend, at Luz.

Sporting once again responded to Benfica's advantage in the national volleyball championship final, this Wednesday, in a kind of 'tit for tat' culminating in a 2-2 in the fourth game. The Lions' 3-0 triumph at the João Rocha Pavilion thus pushes the decisions to the 'black' game, to be played at the Pavilhão da Luz, next Saturday.
The derby started out somewhat fiercely, so much so that there was no room for a difference greater than three goals throughout the first set, which ended with 25-22 on the scoreboard.
João Coelho's team stayed ahead and, cheered on by their fans, reached 2-0, with a 25-18 in the second set, motivating a (not very showy) reaction from Marcel Matz's team.
The eagles even managed to have a five-point advantage in the third set, but they witnessed an epic turnaround by the lions, who settled the doubts with a 27-25 culminating in the final 3-0.
It is worth remembering that Benfica (leader of the regular phase) won the first game of the final, at Luz, followed by a response from Sporting in Alvalade, in a film repeated in the third and fourth games. The fifth and final match is thus played next Saturday, to decide whether Benfica will become a five-time national champion or whether Sporting will 'dethrone' its rival.
