Benfica had a meeting with an 'unknown' coach, they guarantee in Italy

According to the Italian newspaper TuttoMercatto, specialized in football market issues, Benfica had a meeting with Raffaele Palladino, Monza's coach, during the last few days. It should be remembered that Roger Schmidt has a contract with the Eagles until 2026.
Palladino's contract is ending at the end of this season. The portal writes that "despite the many offers that have emerged from Serie A, there could be a move abroad."
Fiorentina and Bologna are two of the clubs interested in Palladino. The young coach had his first experience as a coach at Monza, first in the youth categories and then in the main team. He had ten wins in 34 games this season.
As a football player, he had a long career in Serie A, with stints at Juventus, Salernitana, Parma, Genoa or Crotone. He played three times for the Italian national team. At 40, he may have his first adventure outside the country.
